We all love donuts. If you don’t, we might have to rethink our friendship. Kidding. Thankfully, for those of us who do, donut shops are aplenty in every town. You’ve got the mom and pop shops with the delicious old-fashioned chocolate donuts, apple fritters, and cups of coffee, and then you have the chain shops that churn out a dozen a minute. These days, new trendy donut shops with unique shapes, flavors, and donut names more like phrases and sentences seem to be popping up throughout the cities as well.
Sugarlicious is a sweet donut shop in the Inland Empire that bridges the old mom-and-pop with the new trendy stores. It’s a little bit of both worlds! Upon entrance, it looks like any other neighborhood donut shop. The menu consists of a whole breakfast menu with delicious savory bagel and croissant sandwiches as well as plenty of donut options. There’s a glass display case filled with traditional donuts – glazed, powdered, bear claws, maple bars, and twists. However, a couple of donuts topped with Oreos, bacon, and cereal sit among the traditional. They’re there to remind you that they have donuts that you can customize!
That’s right – Sugarlicious has a build-your-own donut bar option, where you choose the type of icing and toppings you want on your donut. Blueberry icing with circus animal cookies? Maple icing with bacon? Strawberry icing with Hot Cheetos? Vanilla icing with pretzels? The possibilities are endless! Though, if you had to choose one, I recommend their maple bacon donut. The bacon they use is AH-mazing!
